Welcome to my gallery in this fresh new space! To start off, a teaser of what’s to come once I gather a collection of photos.
MELTING POINT
Behind the lens:
The idea behind this photo was to create something that looks more like a painting rather than a photo. In line with the name, the theme is around the point at which something melts.
To achieve the theme, I used trees, aperture and panning shutter speed to create the background. The colour was achieved via sunset light shining through the trees, coupled with high exposure, colour and temperature sliders. By using panning, this also created a blur on the perimeter of the body work, further achieving the melting point theme.
Car used: BMW Isetta
PREMONITION
Behind the Lens:
The inspiration for this photo was the directors cut box art for the game ‘Deadly Premonition’.
To achieve the feel of the car being born from the smoke, I used red autumnal leaves on the ground, alongside on overhead trees on the top left of the photo. I then used high shutter speed, vignette, colour, temperature and contrast to achieve the overall photo.
MEYERS MIST
Behind the Lens:
The idea for this photo was to create a horror scene involving the Meyers Manx, an otherwise innocent looking car.
The background is intended to resemble a waterfall with blood running through it, reminiscent of the waterfall scene from The Lost World: Jurassic Park. Like the previous photos, this was achieved using trees and a great deal of tweaks to the in-game settings.
